Autocollimators

Highest Precision for every Measurement Task

An autocollimator combines the function of a collimator and a test telescope in one device. The collimator and the telescope share the same optical path, which is achieved either by a physical or geometric beam splitter. We offer autocollimators with fixed or variable focus settings as well as straight, 90° and 60° viewing. Versions with graticule changer, integrated CCD camera connection, mechanical (MD) or digital double micrometer (MDD) are also available.

In the case of variable-focus autocollimators with a C-mount camera connection, the CCD- or CMOS-chip-surface of a C-mount camera is located in the image plane of the objective instead of the eyepiece reticle. The camera thereby records the image of the collimator reticle. The displacement of the reflected image can be determined on a screen or with a PC/laptop with appropriate software. Camera, PC/Laptop and software are not part of the delivery.

Straight-viewing autocollimators with double micrometer allow accurate measurement of the angular tilt of a reflector. They are available either with mechanical double micrometer (AKG MD) or with digital double micrometer (AKG MDD).

Autocollimator with 90°-viewing is also available with mechanical double micrometer (AKR MD). This type AKR MD is used if a straight viewing autocollimator cannot be used from ergonomic point of view. It allows the measurement of tilting angles in two directions. The lateral movement of the eyepiece reticle in x- and y-direction in the mage plane can be read from the scale of the micrometers. The scale division is 5 micrometer. Note: A version with a programmable measuring gauge (MDD) is not available because of mechanical limitations.
